Electro Switch Buys E-MAX Instruments to Expand Substation Control Portfolio

Electro Switch Corp. has acquired E-MAX Instruments, a provider of control and monitoring solutions for electrical substation equipment, expanding its capabilities in power grid infrastructure.

Founded in 1975, E-MAX manufactures products including trip indication relays, digital fault recorders and battery monitoring systems used in utility substations and critical power applications. The acquisition complements Electro Switch's existing power switches and relay product lines.

Electro Switch said in a statement that integrating E-MAX’s technology will strengthen its ability to deliver mission-critical equipment and monitoring solutions to utilities, industrial operators and other power infrastructure customers.

The transaction supports Electro Switch's strategy to broaden its offerings for power generation and transmission systems serving utility, data center, defense and industrial markets.
