ONEOK acquired Medallion Midstream from Global Infrastructure Partners for $2.6 billion. The deal added the largest crude gathering system in the Midland Basin of the Permian, with over 1,300 miles of gathering pipelines.
Energy Transfer LP (NYSE: ET) completed its $1.45 billion acquisition of Lotus Midstream Operations from an affiliate of EnCap Flatrock Midstream in May 2023. The deal added the Centurion Pipeline crude oil gathering system spanning the Permian Basin to the Cushing, Oklahoma, hub.
Energy Transfer LP (NYSE: ET) completed its $3.25 billion acquisition of WTG Midstream from affiliates of Stonepeak, the Davis Estate and Diamondback Energy in July 2024. The deal added approximately 6,000 miles of natural gas pipelines and eight processing plants in the Permian Basin's Midland Basin.
Energy Transfer LP (NYSE: ET) completed its $7.1 billion all-equity acquisition of Crestwood Equity Partners in November 2023, expanding its midstream footprint in the Williston, Delaware, and Powder River basins. The deal added Crestwood's gathering, processing, and storage assets.
Suncor Energy acquired TotalEnergies' Canadian operations, including the 31.23% interest in the Fort Hills oil sands project, for C$1.47 billion in April 2023. The deal gave Suncor 100% ownership of Fort Hills. TotalEnergies EP Canada holds a 31.23% working interest in Fort Hills.
Suncor Energy acquired Teck Resources' 21.3% interest in the Fort Hills oil sands project for approximately C$1.0 billion in February 2023, increasing Suncor's stake to 75.4%. The deal supports Suncor's strategy to consolidate operated assets.
Cenovus Energy acquired BP's 50% interest in the Sunrise oil sands project in October 2022, gaining 100% ownership. Cenovus paid C$600 million in cash, with BP also receiving Cenovus's 35% stake in the Bay du Nord project.
Canadian Natural Resources completed its C$6.5 billion acquisition of Chevron's Canadian assets in October 2024. The deal includes Chevron's 20% interest in the Athabasca Oil Sands Project and 70% operated interest in light oil assets in the Duvernay Shale.
Canadian Natural Resources acquired Storm Resources for C$960 million in cash and stock in December 2021. ARC Resources merged with Seven Generations Energy in an all-stock C$8.1 billion transaction in April 2021, creating Canada's largest condensate producer and third-largest natural gas producer with approximately 340,000 boe/d of pro forma production.
