Hawaiian Electric Industries (NYSE - HE), the parent company of Pacific Current, announced the closing of the sale of Pacific Current's 60-megawatt Hamakua Energy Plant on Hawai'i Island to a subsidiary of Harbert Management Corp.
Octopus Energy Group completed the acquisition of Shell Energy Retail in the UK and Germany from Impello Ltd., a subsidiary of Shell Petroleum Co. Ltd. The company will migrate 1.3 million home energy customers to its systems in the UK and Germany.

Enbridge completed its $6.6 billion acquisition of Dominion Energy's East Ohio Gas in March 2024. The deal made Enbridge the largest natural gas distribution utility in North America by volume, serving approximately 7 million customers across multiple states.
