Chevron Acquires Renewable Energy Group

Chevron completed its acquisition of Renewable Energy Group (REG) for $61.50 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at about $3.15 billion, or approximately $2.75 billion net of cash acquired. REG was the largest U.S. producer of biodiesel and a producer of renewable diesel.

TotalEnergies Acquires 25% Stake in Block 53 Offshore Suriname

TotalEnergies signed an agreement to acquire the 25% interest held by Moeve (formerly CEPSA) in Block 53 offshore Suriname, joining APA (45%, operator) and Petronas (30%). Block 53 lies directly east of Block 58 where the GranMorgu development FID was taken in October 2024. The acquisition adds new resources to TotalEnergies' low-cost, low-emission GranMorgu project.
