Vista Energy, S.A.B. de C.V. subsidiary Vista Energy Argentina S.A.U acquired 100% of the capital stock of Petronas E&P Argentina S.A., which holds a 50% working interest in La Amarga Chica unconventional concession, located in Vaca Muerta, Argentina, from Petronas Carigali Canada B.V. and Petronas Carigali International E&P B.V.
Cenovus Energy and Husky Energy completed their all-stock deal in a transaction valued at approximately C$23.6 billion including assumed debt. The combined company will operate as Cenovus Energy and remain headquartered in Calgary, Alberta.
Bonanza Creek Energy and Extraction Oil & Gas announced the closing of their merger and subsequent acquisition of Crestone Peak Resources. The combined company has now formally been rebranded Civitas Resources. The combined company will operate across approximately 425,000 net acres, with a production base of 117 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Baytex Energy closed its acquisition of Ranger Oil Corp. for around $2.5 billion, which included net debt of approximately US$650 million.
Shell completed the sale of The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC) to Renaissance. Ithaca Energy plc completed the acquisition of JAPEX UK E&P Limited from Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX) for approximately $193 million in cash. The deal added non-operated interests in the Seagull and other UK North Sea fields, complementing Ithaca's existing UKCS portfolio.
Aker BP ASA completed its combination with Lundin Energy's oil and gas business in a cash-and-share transaction valued at approximately $13.9 billion, creating one of the largest publicly listed pure-play E&P companies in Europe. Under the deal, Lundin shareholders received $2.22 billion in cash plus 271 million Aker BP shares.
