Iberdrola formed a joint venture with Kansai Electric Power on the 315 MW Windanker offshore wind project in the German Baltic Sea, with Kansai acquiring a 49% stake.
Masdar and Iberdrola completed and fully energized the 476 MW Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea in 2024 under their strategic partnership. The project supplies approximately 475,000 households with renewable energy.
TotalEnergies signed an agreement with RWE to acquire a 50% stake in two offshore wind projects in the North Sea. These two projects, N-9.1 (2 GW) and N-9.2 (2 GW), located 110 km off the German coast, were awarded to RWE in August 2024 and have 25-year licenses extendable to 35 years.
